ABOUT US
The Association of Web Programmers was created in August of 2007. It is the vision of Ann Pallo, who began laying out plans after searching for a community or guild that offered professional memberships for the web application development community. This was in light of joining another professional organization, and finding that it came up short in providing content for the technical side of interactive. After somewhat of a shock to find out that nothing with presence existed to fill this need, plans came together for AWP.

AWP is currently based out of Atlanta, GA, and is in process of becoming registered as a non-profit. While it is currently the child of one person, it is hoped that it grows quickly. Future plans hold seminars, education, events, and networking. While Atlanta is the only chapter at this point, we will be opening up for other chapters in the future, so that events may take place in other cities as well as Atlanta. We hope to hold a conference dedicated to web professionals in the future as well.
